Egypt has a land area of  1,001,450 square kilometers  or 386,660 sq miles it is approximately twice the size of Spain and combined size of Texas and California in the USA.

Egypt possesses a land bridge between Africa and Asia, but has a waterway known as the The Suez Canal that connects the Mediterranean Sea with the Indian Ocean via The Red Sea.

The Egyptian population is concentrated along the narrow Nile Valley and Delta with the famous Nile River. Egypt is adjacent to Libya to the west, Sudan to the south, and by the Gaza Strip and Israel to the east.
