I am from Egypt, although now living abroad. For me, Egypt is a great place to spend my vacations. Cairo, the capital, is very crowded and noisy but you must visit the pyramids area (including the 3 pyramids, Sphinx, and Sakkkara pyramid), the Citadel of Salahuddin, the Egyptian museum and take a short cruise at the Nile in Cairo, especially at night. You can also enjoy shopping downtown and in plenty of malls, especially City Stars, which is the newest and my favorite. Khan Al-Khalili is an old street near downtown and is famous for selling antiques and souvenirs. In old – aka, Fatemi – Cairo, there is many historical mosques and Islamic architectures, like old houses and schools – at least 20 – 30 are very attractive and difficult to find anywhere else. Also, some Christian attractions are very nice to see, including the hanging church. There is an open Pharonic museum called "Pharonic village" where you can see how ancient Egyptian lived. Actors are dressed in Pharonic customes and perform all day activities in the ancient way. There are two major fun-parks in Cairo, Magic Land and Dream Park, both are among the best I saw so far, although I don’t have much worldwide experience about this. There are also plenty of restaurants and cinemas in Cairo. The atmosphere is generally peaceful and safe apart from noise. I advice you to stay at least 5 – 7 days in Cairo. Outside Cairo, you can go to sea resorts in Red Sea, especially Sharm el-sheikh (in Sinai) and Hurghada. In Sainai you can also visit Saint Catherine’s sanctuary which is a special spiritual experience. Don’t forget to go on a Nile Cruise to Luxor and Aswan (actually by aeroplane to Luxor then by ship to Aswan) and there you can visit about 10 marvellous locations including Kings’ valley, Queens’ valley, Temple of Ramsis, Temple of Abu-Sempel, Temple of Edfu, and others. This takes 5 – 7 days also. If you have time, Visit Alexandria which is now a very beautiful city on seashore and besides beaches (which are better at about 50-Km distance in Northern coast) and city life, has a nice citadel (Qaytbay) and the palace and gardens of the former king (Montazah Palace). It is better if you have a full program made by a touristic company as they will provide you with tour guide and include you in a group which is much more amusing as well as safer. Hope you can go there and enjoy it.

I’m sure that if you choose Egypt as subject in your project it will be very interested and you will get a high grade. Egypt has got many destinations in one country and it is full of attractions, sights & activities where every single moment of a guest’s visit will be memorable for years to come. I’ll give you many web sites to navigate to enable you to grab many information about the country and about the most important attractions and places for visit.

Please feel free to ask for any information.
    Good Luck
