Ok… I am an Egyptian girl and I have an American fiance. We are engaged to be married to be married soon (next summer). Well he is coming to visit in less than two months and we are planning on visiting a city/some cities in Egypt in this vacation.
My questions are:
1- Are there hotels in Egypt (and especially in the cities we are visiting) that would allow us to share the same room? Please, name them.
2- Would it be ok, legally speaking, to share the same room?
3- Does being engaged to be married soon count while booking a room?
4- Any suggestions?

N.B: The reason for wanting to share the same room is to save up as much as we can for many things waiting for us the coming months. Please, answer my questions from the legal point of view. Any personal experiences are much appreciated. Thank you!
*3- Does being engaged to be married count while booking a room?

You cant share the same room if you dont have your marriage certificate with you.. sorry but this is how its like here… I tried it and they wouldnt let it happen..

small local hotels would allow it if you bribe them or whatever but I wouldnt recommend it.. too shady!

I am a Scot married to an Egyptian. Before we got married we rented holiday apartments rather than hotels as no one checks you there. As long as you book from a non Egyptian land lord you will be ok. I totally respect the law of Egypt but then we must respect the way a couple want to live.

    go to http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk.

You will find flats for rent all over Egypt

If you are going to Sharm el Sheikh, you will find many flats for rent there. There are a lot in a resort called Delta Sharm which is a five star resort and it has everything you need. twelve pools, gym, shops, cafes, chemists, restaurants and spa.

I hope you have a lovely time.

I don’t know what the other answers are talking about. I go to a hotel and have prostitutes knocking on my door several times a day, so obviously they do not check to see if you are married since they let prostitutes walk the halls of each floor.
