Myself and my husband are planning a trip to Egypt. We have no idea where to start, any tips?

Where should we stay?
What airport should we land at?
What are some places to go/see?

Any tips would be very helpful, esspecially if you have been there before.

Thanks!
How long should we go for?
What is the best time of year to go?

How to plan a vacation to Egypt?

You are going to land in a town named "Heliopolis".
Go to stay in City Stars; there is a hotel named "Holiday Inn" there. (its cheap there)
You should go see The Pyramids, Sphinx, Citadel, Cairo Tower, etc.
    Have a nice trip!

Check the websites below for info, it doesn’t sound like it’s the safest time to go.

For the latest security information, Americans living and traveling abroad should regularly monitor the Department’s Bureau of Consular Affairs Internet web site at http://www.travel.state.gov, where the current Worldwide Caution, Travel Alerts, and Travel Warnings can be found. Consular Affairs Publications, which contain information on obtaining passports and planning a safe trip abroad, are also available at http://www.travel.state.gov. For additional information on international travel, see http://www.usa.gov/Citizen/Topics/Travel/International.shtml.

The Department of State encourages all U.S. citizens traveling or residing abroad to register via the State Department’s travel registration website or at the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate abroad. Registration will make your presence and whereabouts known in case it is necessary to contact you in an emergency and will enable you to receive up-to-date information on security conditions.

Emergency information concerning Americans traveling abroad may be obtained by calling 1-888-407-4747 toll free in the U.S. and Canada or the regular toll line 1-202-501-4444 for callers outside the U.S. and Canada.

i have been working in tourism for 12 years and i think that your trip can combine between history and beach vacation.
    i recommend the following:
first land to Hurghada on the red sea from their you can visit to luxur and cairo Luxor is for one day 4 Hours by bus and Cairo for one or 2 tonight 5 hours by Bus you will see in Luxor Karnak TTemplateand other things you will see in cairo (mmuseum ppyramid Cairo citadel)
in hurg will enjoy the beach and the sun

for the accommodation in Hurghada i recommend a holiday apartment which is much cheaper than the hotel through http://www.redseahome.com and they can organise the entire trip for you and the accommodation in cairo will be in a Hotel and they can organise this as will.

Two weeks is good and May June till mid July september and october are Nice

just buy your air ticket to hurghada and if you want to contact them
    management@redseahome.com

    Good Luck
