During the time that both the Sphinx and/or the pyramids had been built and in use, how were they important to the people? What was their significance?? Personal opinions, links and/or facts welcome.

The Sphinx was the body of a lion, which represented a God and the head was that of Pharaoh (Khafre). The Pyramids were a burial site, the biggest the pyramid the most important the Pharaoh, there are three Pyramids which are the biggest for the pharaohs Khufu (the biggest) Khafre ( middle side) and Menkaure (the smallest) then there are three smaller ones that were used for the Queens of each Pharaoh.

The sphinx was an object of veneration – the head is believed to be that of the pharaoh Khafra.

The pyramids themselves were mausolea which celebrated the status of their internees – the bigger the pyramid the more important the dead Pharaoh.
