Is this applicable for 4* and 5* hotels too even though they will go on tour?

Is it true that Egyptian national and foreign girlfriend cannot stay in one hotel room in Egypt?

Legally speaking the answer is NO. Unmarried couples cant stay together, this law is however ignored when dealing with foreigners simply because it will mean the end of the tourism industry.

Egyptians are asked for a marriage certificate or personal ID, which states h/she is married for verification.

Yes, it’s true and it’s by the law.

As long as they are not married or their marriage is not registered or proved by any authorities.

Yes this is true. Sadly there are too many Gigolos in Luxor & they have spoiled it for the rest, & its not like the western world where there is sex before marriage.
I am married to an Egyptian from Luxor & we still have to show our marriage licence when we fly home for a holiday & stay in a 5 star hotel, & he dosnt even live in Luxor any more.
